The Ladyfingers and a Thing’r, Too all hail from the Albuquerque area, featuring 3 of the original Ladyfingers — Pat Aruffo (fiddle), Erika Gerety (double bass), Gretchen Newman (guitar); plus the added bonus of Gretchen’s husband, fondly joining in as the Thing’r, Too, Steve Yesner (harmonica, flute, and ukulele). They all share a history of attention disorders, so their repertoire includes songs from the 30s to the 90s, ranging from Swing to Country Swing to old-time American with Spirituals to Dan Hicks to current Pop. Singing, harmonizing, and laughter abound.
Members of the Ladyfingers and a Thing’r, Too have appeared at the Albuquerque Folk Festival, the Wildlife West Festival in Edgewood, NM and the Big Muddy Festival in Boonville, MO. They are also regulars at the Elena Gallegos and Old Town Summer Concert Series, the Celtic Festival, UNM functions, weddings and private parties (invited or uninvited), various restaurants, breweries and other dives, and countless senior centers. A good time is had by all.
